About Me
I am Rachael.
The owner, designer and creator behind West Moor Design.
Me
I was born and bred in the North East of England in a little town called Yarm. I grew up as a shy, not to confident, will follow my parents around everywhere (still do that to be honest), loved fashion and art kinda gal.
I did the usual school, collage, university because back then what was better than more education and less responsibilty? (Take me back!!)
Then I travelled the world (actually take me back to this) the usual left university and travelled Australia and South east Asia to find myself back in the uk. Wondering what the heck is next?
What was next?
Fast forward a few years after all the travelling in 2016, I was in the UK itching to get back into the design world but with no real direction or no one wanting to employ me. So I decided to start my own instagram for design and West Moor Design was born.
West Moor Design
I started creating repeating patterns for christmas wrapping paper. With no idea where to start, I decided to just draw them on brown paper and also celephone. To my parents dismay I was back designing on their kitchen table, which I think they secretly loved.
